600 Major Regulations

The American Action Forum (@AAF) released a new infographic detailing how the Obama Administration has issued 600 major regulations to date. A major regulation is defined as having an economic impact of $100 million or more and can significantly affect prices for consumers. The analysis also finds that the administration is on pace to issue 641 major regulations before the next administration is sworn in. President Bush issued only 496 major rules over the course of his eight years in office. AAF research found the regulatory burden of these 600 regulations issued by the current administration equates to over $740 billion.
