AAF Finds Administration Added $16 Billion In Regulatory Costs In Effort To Streamline Regulations

The American Action Forum (@AAF) today released an analysis of the administration’s retrospective review, an effort for regulators to identify how they will modify, streamline, or repeal existing regulations. AAF found that the administration’s recent retrospective review added more than $16 billion in regulatory costs, up from $14.7 billion in the previous update. The AAF analysis also found that only two agencies reduced costs.

There was also an increase of 6.5 million paperwork burden hours, led by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Health and Human Services.
