AAF Finds Consumers Will Pay $250 Billion Per Year If Tariffs Imposed On Chinese & Mexican Imports
The American Action Forum (@AAF) today released an analysis of presidential candidate Donald Trump’s plan to impose a 45 percent tax on all goods imported from China, and a 35 percent tax on Mexican auto imports. The AAF analysis found that the tariffs would cost consumers $250 billion per year. The analysis also includes a state by state breakdown identifying the price increase for consumers, for example, a consumer in Tennessee could pay $1,851.03 more for products.
