AAF President Douglas Holtz-Eakin on the Passing of Alice Rivlin

I do not want to have to imagine a world without Alice Rivlin. She set the standard for public service. Her storied career was filled with noteworthy accomplishments that will be the center of a lot of commentary — CBO Director, OMB Director, DC Control Board, Federal Reserve Board Vice-Chair, and the like. But her real accomplishment was doing every job better than most of us could ever imagine. She was smart, insightful, patient, articulate, tireless, and compassionate. Alice was the most talented and accomplished person I ever knew and yet remained the most unassuming. We have lost a giant.

The sympathies of everyone at AAF go out to her family, friends, and loved ones.
