New AAF Video Rebuts Myths Regarding Tax Inversions
In a new video, the American Action Forum (@AAF) takes to task the myths surrounding tax inversions. The video, using two puppies, highlights how the outdated tax code, along with the U.S. having the highest corporate tax rate in the world, encourages companies to invest more overseas. The AAF video reminds viewers that regardless of where a firm is headquartered, they pay U.S. taxes, and in many cases the tax paid in the U.S. is higher than the rate they pay anywhere else. Lastly, the video stresses how fixing the tax code is a real solution to encourage more businesses to invest in the U.S.
