Reforms Needed to Fix 340B Prescription Drug Program

Today the American Action Forum (@AAF) released a report on the 340B Drug Pricing Program, which was originally intended to provide low-income consumers greater access to prescription medications. The program suffers from a variety of problems around eligibility benchmarks, program oversight, and the use of savings, among other issues. The report contends that Congress should reform the 340B Program to restore its original intent, ensure program integrity, and eliminate associated market distortions.
