The Unheralded Leaders of Regulatory Reform
Recently, President Trump remarked, “We formed a deregulation taskforce inside every agency to find and eliminate wasteful, intrusive, and job-killing regulations, of which we’ve had many.” These task forces were born from Executive Order 13,777 on “Enforcing the Regulatory Agenda” that, among other items, directed agencies to name a “Regulatory Reform Officer” by late April and establish a “Regulatory Reform Task Force” by late May. Using regulatory documents, press accounts, and information from agency websites, the American Action Forum has compiled the status of each agency so far. We intend to update this list as more information becomes available.
